I have been meaning to write this blog for a very very long time but haven't had the confidence to actually sit down and compose it... till recently I have been feeling really happy and more comfortable in my own skin so here it is!
This post is going to be a little bit different to my usual blogs, but it is something I have wanted to do since I started this page.
It is a long one....
Last year I went through a really rocky period of my life... during this time I lost sight of myself and my goals. The first thing that dramatically changed for me was my skin. I had always had oily skin, which resulted in the occasional breakout; but this was soooo much worse than that. My skin was so bad I refused to go into sixth form for days and even weeks at a time.
The thought of putting makeup over it made me feel sick to my stomach and at the time, I didn't want anyone to see me like that.
(I have decided to insert some pictures of my skin to show the progress)
These were taken December 2016.
I finally decided to go to the doctor about my skin, and they prescribed me 'Isotretinoin', or commonly known as Roaccutane. This is a very strong and effective treatment for severe acne, so it obviously comes with side effects: dry skin, chapped lips and in worse cases depression and suicidal thoughts.
Fortunately I only suffered with the dry skin and chapped lips, which doesn't sound very bad, but it definitely wasn't comfortable. I didn't only rely on the medication to make me better, I changed my diet and cut out certain foods like potatoes, chocolate, sweets and spicy foods. (These are only SOME that contribute to having a bad complexion). I changed my skin care routine and avoided makeup wipes as I found that they irritated my skin more, so I now use coconut oil to remove my makeup (which is a GOD SEND if you ask me).
Today is an exciting day because after 7 months I have finally been discharged! No more medication and monthly doctors visits! yayay!!!!!
I am so happy with how my skin has improved. I am so much more confident when it comes to those no makeup days. I even went to work with no makeup on and I felt so good about myself.
During the past year, I have come a very long way and learnt a lot that I want to share with you all.
Despite all the things that you think may be terribly wrong with you... love yourself.
I can honestly think of so many reasons why you should love yourself, but here is just one: it is incredibly dull and uninspiring to be around people who do not love themselves. When my skin was at its worst, I was at my lowest and I was not fun to be around.
I would avoid certain social situations and stay at home because I felt that people were staring and judging my skin.
No one, and I mean NO ONE is perfect. Every single person has their flaws, and every person has bad days. People mess up, fail and get rejected. Everyone cries. But... your flaws do not define who you are. What matters is how you respond to them. If you can't love them, then learn to accept them.
It is ok to love yourself. No one is going to think you're arrogant; and if anyone says anything negative about you it is a reflection of their own lack of self-worth. Especially in todays society it seems to be taboo to be confident or happy. We are so quick to put each other down and be negative. Break the mould! Smile at strangers, compliment someone, make the room light up when you walk in.
I am not always happy, I am occasionally moody and a nightmare to be around if I am hungry... but I do try my hardest to be happy and thankful for everything that I have.
I am lucky to have an amazing group of friends and family who I know will always be there for me and support me. I am lucky to be going to Sheffield Hallam University next month to study a subject that I am extremely passionate about.
If someone said to me this time last year: "Isa you will figure it all out and you'll be ok" I would have laughed in their face... I am so glad I didn't lose hope because I wouldn't have come this far.
If you're still here reading this, then thank you.
I will be posting more I promise!
Thank you to all of you that read this long and lengthy blog post... It means a lot and I am very grateful to all who still show this page some love!
See you in my next post,

Hope everyone has been enoying the weather recently, I have been LOVING it! It has been getting me so excited for summer and the summer fashion.
Today I decided to take a break from revising, with my first A level exam looming round the corner (next week ahhh!). I decided to get ready, go out and do some errands.
Summer is 100% sundress season, whether it is a maxi, midi or even a mini dress.
I chose to style this gorgeous see through midi dress from All Saints with some white cut off denim shorts and a mesh bralet underneath.
I accessorised my outfit with some grey slide on shoes, a white leather back pack and some big assssss hoops.
I think this outfit is SO cute and fun, deffo a summer look.
Thank you so much for reading and see you next time!

PS. I made a short YouTube video on this exact makeup look! I am in the process of editing it but it will be up at 9pm this evening! Check out my fashion instagram: @iickkkk for updates xx

Long time, no blog. I have been super busy with sixth form and revision, I know it's no excuse to leave you all without a post for over a MONTH!! So today I made some spare time to come up with a different blog for you all.
My brother told me that he recently ordered a vintage coat, only for me to find out it was a Fendi trench coat! I knew I had to incorporate this piece into my blog... FENDI for yourself? duh? no brainer! (all with his permission of course)
I wore my super super ripped jeans from ASOS that I am in love with. These jeans are very risky due to the fact that they are ripped ALL over... so I thought I would be daring and bring them out for this killer 'fit. I paired them with a basic bodysuit that has cut out side panels (from ASOS too). Finally I wore my black lace up heels from Public Desire and threw in my faux fur black handbag and a small silver/gold choker.
I adore this outfit, I think it is so classy and edgy but definitely more appropriate for an evening event.
Thank you so much for reading,
See you next time!

Whilst I was taking a break from revising for my upcoming A Levels I decided to do some online shopping on Missguided, which honestly has to be one of my FAVOURITE shops at the moment! They are coming up with such unique and stylish pieces but also managing to keep them super affordable, so a big thank you to YOU Missguided!
My search had come to an end when I saw these beautiful nude flared tapered trousers. Now we all know how much I love flares; it was a no brainer, I had to purchase!
I styled this outfit for a more classy and sophisticated occasion, but I am very keen to try and dress down these trousers for a more casual event. Maybe with a t-shirt and trainers? Maybe for another blog post?
I paired these stunning trousers with a white plunge bodysuit to give the outfit a bit of edge. For accessories I wore my rose gold cat eye sunnies and my dusty pink Carvella handbag. I wore some nude stiletto heels to keep with the whole nude and pastel theme.
Thank you so much for reading this post!
I hope you love this outfit as much as I do.

Hope you have all had a lovely Sunday celebrating mother's day with your families and loved ones!
I spent today with my mum and brother in the beaut city of Cambridge. We went for a late lunch at one of my favourite restaurants Las Iguanas, and since it was SUCH a gorgeous day we went for a little stroll afterwards in one of Cambridge's many parks.
In this blog post, I styled not only my outfit but my mums too (and yes we are both wearing all black... like mother like daughter, what can I say!)💁
To end this post, and to keep it in the theme of mother's day, I just wanted to say a little thank you to my mum for always being so amazing and continuously supporting me with everything I do💓
Thanks for reading this post and I hope you all treated your mums like the real queens they are!
See you in my next blog

Sorry I haven't posted in a while, I have been mega busy with A Levels and university interviews... but I am back, ready with more blog ideas and better than ever!
I don't know about you, but I was loving today's weather! It finally started to feel like spring.
Here is an outfit that I put together dedicated to today's weather. I am wearing the satin joggers/trousers that I have previously worn in my collab with Amy. I think they are such a staple piece and satin is currently trending. I have styled two outfits, a day and a night outfit, perfect for any occasion.
T-shirt: Brandy Melville
Denim jacket: ASOS
Shoes: My go to adidas superstars
Choker: River Island
Thank you for reading this blog!
See you in my next post... which is very very exciting!!!
I will give you all a hint #Fendi4YourCarbon💋

The weather recently has perked up and hasn't been as cold as it usually is (hooray!) and this can only mean one thing... spring is on its way!
Spring is definitely one of my favourite seasons, even more so than summer. This is because the weather is bearable, you can still wear light jackets and jeans without feeling overly hot, bothered and worst of all uncomfortable.
This blog is a lil different because I am mainly behind the camera... shock?! I took these pictures for my portfolio to take to a university interview (so you will have to excuse the 'extra' poses) but I honestly loved them so much I thought I should make a blog out of it.
The girls had their own take on my brief which was "winter into spring". Their outfits are all very different but I am obsessed with them all. I also thought I would show you my own take on the brief, which was my OOTD for a university interview at Sheffield Hallam.
Here are the spring looks.......
Olivia's style is very urban and edgy with elements of street style.
Here she has styled some black dungarees with a black mesh bodysuit (that is trending massively recently!). She tied the look together with her classic black and white vans and a colourful, retro bomber jacket which I love. The sunglasses add the spring touch to the look, making it look warm yet still cosy.
Oliva's style is so unique, she always comes into sixth form in such a groovy outfit that I always compliment her on.
YASSSS YOU GO GURLLLLL
Mesh bodysuit: Missguided
Jacket: Vintage section in Topman
Shania's look is classy and sophisticated, she is always serving effortlessly put together looks day in, day out.
Here she is wearing a sheer green top that is long cut at the front and back. She matched this with some white patterned trousers that fall at the ankle. The look was finished off with her go-to black leather jacket and her opened toe boots with gold detailing.
I am so in love with Shania's outfit purely because of the colours and the different fabrics involved. The colours are crisp and very spring like.
Shoes: River Island
Holly's style is always so gorgeous, she always looks so comfy yet super cute in all her outfits.
Here she is wearing a white off-shoulder long sleeve top, which just screams "SPRING!!!" She kept the spring theme in mind by paring it with some ripped blue denim jeans.
Holly completed the outfit by wearing her leather jacket with a stunning fur trim and some black open toe boots.
Holly's outfit is casual yet put together, a perfect look for a day out.
I'M LOVING ITTTT
Jeans, Jacket and Shoes: Topshop
Top: River Island
The dress code for this particular university interview was 'smart casual'.
I decided to wear my black denim mini skirt with rose embroidery detailing as my statement piece. I wore a plain black jumper with my classic black faux fur coat and some boots, to stay with the smart element. I accessorised my outfit with my new, GORGEOUS baby pink 'Carvella' handbag that the girls bought me for my 18th.
The pink ties in with the rose detail on the skirt, and my makeup look for the day!

Boots: Vagabond (Urban Outfitters)

Thank you so much for reading this post! Hope you love these looks as much as I do.

As you all know it is Valentine's Day tomorrow! With some of you off to celebrate with your boyfriends/girlfriends OR if you're like me... off to Nando's with the girls.
However you're celebrating tomorrow I thought I would show you an outfit that I would wear for a V-day date!
The whole outfit is pink. My absolute favourite colour! I definitely think that pink is the new red, especially for girls. The colour is more girlie and has a fun vibe to it, whereas I feel that red is more seductive. All depends on what mood you want your outfit to reflect.
This mesh crop top, is just WOW. (Literally...) I was drawn to it because of the appliqué detail with the word 'WOW' and also that it was sparkly. I paired it with a light pink body con skirt from Missguided and of course to finish the outfit, my classic pink faux fur coat from PrettyLittleThing.
I adore this outfit because it is all pink, which can sometimes be a bit risky, but why not be a little risky from time to time? It is definitely one of my bolder outfits, maybe that is why I love it so much.
Thank you for reading this blog, I hope you all have a lovely, romantic day tomorrow either with your Valentine👫 or your Galentine👭
See you in my next post!

Today I went to London with my A Level art class, and thought I should blog the day and my outfit of course!
London is one of my favourite places to go. I love the hustle and bustle of the city and how expressive everyone is when it comes to their outfits.
For that reason, I thought it would be perfect to whip out my cropped flared trousers that I adore (TopShop). I made the outfit comfortable by wearing a black PUMA jumper and my go to Adidas superstars. I kept the look sophisticated by wearing a leather jacket and a small over the shoulder black fluffy bag (TopShop) which is SO gorgeous!
We went to the V&A to get some inspiration for our final exam piece... eeek! I loved looking around, especially in the fashion bit, where you could see how fashion has developed and changed over time, which I find so interesting. We spent the majority of the day in the V&A collecting ideas and pictures; then we were allowed to go our separate ways for lunch.
My friend and I went to Byron Hamburger for lunch which was so tasty, the milkshakes there are to DIE FOR!😋
After we we went on a little walk round some cute side streets of South Kensington, and then had a look in the Science museum which is practically next door to the V&A (for those that didn't know)
Even though I got a C in GCSE science... i love the science museum! Especially the 'Space' and the 'About You' exhibitions. I like them because they are mostly interactive which I feel is how you learn best.
We then caught the 16:24 train home, and it is safe to say that I am well and truly exhausted after such a busy day! However I found the day super educational and now I am really excited to get stuck into my new art project😆
Thank you for reading this blog, I hope you enjoyed reading about my day
See you in my next post!
